Vanessa Ivy Rose founded Hall of Fame DNA with a dedicated vision to inspire. Being the granddaughter of baseball legend Norman “Turkey” Stearnes, she has always had a passion for sports, history and culture. Standing upon the shoulders of the ancestors, Vanessa honors their legacies within her roles as an author, podcast host, educator and basketball coach. In true Hall of Fame DNA style, she truly believes we all are destined for greatness, both on and off the field.

ABC News Presents Reclaimed: The Forgotten League
Host Vanessa Ivy Rose partnered with ABC News to bring us on a quest to excavate the stories and stats of Black players who were shut out of the major leagues, a legacy that still haunts the sport. The series includes interviews with family and friends of Turkey Stearnes, including a living Negro Leagues player; never-before-published audio of Stearnes himself; and interviews with leading historians.
